First Place
is a Christ-Centered Health Program with an emphasis on weight control and
commitment to prayer, exercise, and proper nutrition. Please call our

Who can join the program? |

Men and women of all
ages who want to lose excess weight, lower cholesterol, learn better
eating habits or become more disciplined in the areas of prayer, Bible
study and exercise. |

How is First Place different from other weight-management programs? |
| |
|
|
| Luke 2:52 teaches
that we are four-sided people: spiritual, physical, mental and emotional.
First Place is unique in that it deals with the fact that God views our
bodies as His temple and cares about the condition of each part of us. His
concern for us is just as important as losing weight (physical),
practicing accountability to others (mental), or addressing the reasons
(emotional needs) why we gain excess weight (emotional). |

| The program runs
11-13 weeks per session. Members are asked to make nine commitments for
the length of the session: |

1) ATTEND
a meeting each week.
2) PRAY DAILY.
3) Complete a weekly BIBLE STUDY which takes about 15
minutes a day.
4) READ two chapters in the Bible daily.
5) MEMORIZE one Bible verse weekly.
6) FOLLOW the First Place LIVE-IT FOOD PLAN.
7) Keep a First Place FACT SHEET or food diary.
8) Make one PHONE CALL to a class member weekly.
9) EXERCISE a minimum of three times weekly.
