The Video files are formatted for fast access only, when making them for dial-up connections they really don't look well.

Windows Media Video (WMV) - discontinued after November 2006

Real Video (RV):  Jan - June (Starting in July 2006 this format will not be used  (Sept 06 - No more)

Divx Video (sometimes) - mostly to download

Windows Media Audio (WMA) - Sept/Oct 06' - being discontinued

Flash Audio Player - mp3 audio via a flash player: 

Real Video (RV) - Typically formatted for either 256 or 384 kps (once in a while at 512 kps - just because) - not after July 06

Windows Media Video (WMV) is designed to stream at 256 or 384 - Discontinued after Nov 2006

Flash Video - probably exclusive video format starting in December 2006

Video: 

Quality of the video:  The 384 is better than 256  but even that quality depends on the movement of the subjects in the video and how much panning and zooming the camera does.  The more of each of these then the quality goes down.  If you watch much online video in any format if real people are involved there is usually not much movement - it is mostly "talking heads."  With animation (such as drawings, graphics, etc it is different)
