covered dish and plan on a very interesting meeting, good

KEENAGERS MEETING: Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, May 4th,
2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Big Lagoon State Park.
This is our annual fish fry; therefore, please bring a covered dish
that will go with fish.
The "Hurricane Alley Cats" will be playing music for us.
You need to be prepared to pay the gate entry fee which will be: 1
person 1 vehicle $4.00 - 1 vehicle up to 8 people $6.00.
If you are riding the church bus, the cost will be $2.00 per person.

2010. The cost is $45.00 each. After Jan 27th, these tickets will be

: If you are going to the Guy Lombardo show on Monday, January 18th,
2010, you will need to park in the back of the fellowship hall. You
will need to be there no later than 4:00 P.M. We will stop on the
way at Ryan Steak House (meal on your own) before going to the show.
If you do not have a cell phone, you may leave my cell number with
someone in case they need to contact you. For additional info,

KEENAGERS: Our 2010 January meeting will be on the 5th at 10:00 AM
in the fellowship hall. This meeting will be our annual "birthday
bash." Our entertainment will be a professional singer, Mrs. Saundra
Daggs. You will not be asked to bring any food as everything will be
provided. Lunch will be barbeque pulled pork with all the sides. Due
to the cost of the food everyone is requested to come prepared to
give a little extra this month, if possible, to cover the cost of

January 18th, 2010 at the Eric Myer Civic Center in Gulf Shores, AL.
The cost for the ticket and transportation (Gulf Coast Tours Bus) is
$33.00 per person.
We will stop on the way at the Ryan Steak House in Foley for dinner
(on you own) before going to the show.
We only have a very few tickets available.
The bus will leave the back of the church about 4:30 PM and return
back at the church about 10:30 PM. For additional information

Tickets are now available for the “Guy Lombardo’s Royal Canadians”

would suggest that you don’t put off getting your ticket(s) or we
may sell out. The bus will leave the back of the Church about 4:30

-East Brent Baptist Church is inviting us to their "Adults 55+
Celebration" for a meal and Squire Parsons concert on Friday,
November 6th, 2009 in their Worship Center. The meal with be at 5:30
PM and the concert will begin at 7:00 PM. The cost will be $10.00
for both the meal and concert. If paying by check, make it out to
East Brent Baptist Church. We will not go as a group or wear our
uniforms. You can be responsible for you own tickets, but if you
would like for me to purchase your ticket I will need to have your

The Keenagers will take a day trip on Friday,
10.23.09 to Oak Hollow Farm in Fairhope for a day of fun &
fellowship.

The Keenagers
Committee met and reviewed sign up sheets for the shows in Gulf
Shores, AL. There were only two (2) shows that enough members
indicated they were interested in going for us to plan on going as a
group.
Those two are the Guy Lombardo and Roy Clark shows; therefore, there
will be no plans for the Keenagers going to any of the other shows
as a group. If you still want to go to any of the other shows you
will need to make your own arrangements.

If you are going on
the trip to Oak Hollow Farm on Friday, Oct 23rd, you will need to be
at the back of the fellowship hall about 7:30 AM.
The bus will leave at 8:00 AM and return back to the church about
4:00 - 4:30 PM.
We will wear our uniforms for this event.
If you want to fish you will need to bring your fishing gear and an
ice chest to put your fish in.
If you have any special games you like to play you are welcome to
bring them.
You do not need to bring snacks for this trip. If a family member
needs to contact you, they can call Neil on his cell phone,

Pastor Marco Smith
has requested that we provide him with some help for an activity at
his church in Bon Secour on Saturday, August 29th, 2009.
The event will run from approximately 3:00 P. M. until about 7:00 P.
M.
He will need people to pass out drinks, work the popcorn machine,
register people for the event, and things like that.

All the bus seats for our mystery/Atlanta trip September 28th and
29th, have been filled; however; there is always a possibility that
someone will have to cancel.
Therefore, if you
would like to get your name on the cancellation list, please contact
Don Young.
We still have seats on the bus for the Friday, October 23rd trip to
Oak Hollow Farm in Fairhope.
The cost is $25.00
per person which includes transportation and lunch.
This will be a day of
fun and relaxation.

meeting will be presented by a speaker from the Escambia County
Sheriff’s Department.

Our Keenagers committee would like to invite
members of our church family who are 55 or above to come to our
meetings and also attend our special events and trips.
We meet on the first Tuesday of each
month at 10:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall.
Our meetings always include a covered
dish lunch with some of the best desserts by "you know who."
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, August
4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.; our program will be presented by our very own
Brothers Four.
A group of Keenagers attended the 3rd Annual J.
G. Whitfield Memorial Sing at the Pensacola Fairgrounds on July 10,
2009. The concert featured the Dixie Echoes and the Florida Boys.
Another event is scheduled for the Picnic in Old Seville Square
Park on Thursday, July 30, 2009. This event always draws a good
group
of Keenagers for a fried chicken meal with all
the trimmings. Cost: $5
Coming up on September 28 & 29 will be a
mystery/Atlanta trip. The first day of the trip is a mystery and we
feel that you will enjoy it. On the second day in Atlanta we will be
touring the Aquarium and the Coca Cola plant. The cost is $150 per
person. For details, contact Don Young.
And then on October 23, 2009, we will be going on an outing to
Oak Hollow Farm in Fairhope for a full day of fun, fellowship, and
food.
The day will include, but is not limited to, fishing horseshoes,
games, trail walks, hayrides on a horse drawn wagon, and some of the
best food you will ever eat. The cost will be $25 per person.

MYSTERY/GEORGIA AQUARIUM AND
WORLD OF COCA COLA TRIP:
SEPTEMBER 28 & 29 – Monday & Tuesday.
We will travel in comfort in a “Kingdom
Coach” bus. Monday is a
MYSTERY
and we think you will like it.
We will spend
the night at the Hampton Inn in Douglasville, Ga.
We will take the bus
to the Golden Coral for supper (on your own).
Tuesday morning, we
will motor on into Atlanta to the LARGEST AQUARIUM IN THE WORLD.
We will spend about
3 hours here. Lunch is on your own (food court has numerous
choices).
Then we will go
next door for a tour of the “World of Coca Cola” and sample some
of their products.
Then, back on
the bus and head for home.
Cost per
person is $150, based on two people per hotel room.
Included in this
cost are the bus, hotel, lunch on Monday, tickets to the
aquarium and World of Coke.
Hampton has
complimentary hot breakfast.
Pass around
goodies are welcome on the bus.
$75 will reserve
your place with the remaining $75 due no later than August 23rd.
