Rev Jeremy Phillips
Rev Jeremy Phillips, Minister to Students
Jeremy was born and raised in the beautiful mountains of east Tennessee. At the age of
16, a friend invited him to church, and it was there, by the overwhelming grace and
mercy of the Lord, that he first heard the “good news” of Jesus Christ. It wasn’t long after
that, that Jeremy placed his faith in Christ alone for salvation.
In college, the Lord continued to grow Jeremy in amazing ways and he felt the Lord calling
him - “Come and I will make you fishers of men.” When he surrendered to that calling,
the Lord led Jeremy on some exciting journeys. From the slums of India, to the halls of
seminary, to the exotic surrounding of Southeast Asia, the Lord has continued the good
work He began in Jeremy’s life as a young man.
Jeremy married his beautiful wife Jamie in June 2010 and joined the staff at MGBC as
Minister to Students in September 2010. He is looking forward to seeing students
transformed into passionate disciples of Christ, mentors raised up in the local church to
minister to the younger generations, and families strengthened by the power of the gospel.
MGBC Student Ministry
Jeremy hopes and prays that just as he was invited to church one day at the age of 16 and heard the
“Good News” and soon placed his faith in Christ that you to may also experience salvation. Join
Jeremy on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM in the Youth Center & Sunday mornings at 9:15 in the
Worship Center. Consider getting plugged in at MGBC - it is a good place to be.
