A Letter from Our Pastor
Dear Church Family,
"Believing
God for the Harvest"
is the theme of our stewardship campaign. This theme was chosen to
show that the process is just as important as the product. Let me
explain. The product is the paying off of the remaining debt of the
last campaign and the restoring of the old sanctuary building.
The process that will bring about the product has
three phases. The first phase deals with seeking the Lord's
will for the future of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church. Many of you
have already received a phone call from church members asking you to
pray about God=s
will for our church. We are trusting Him to be faithful to His
promises, as they relate to the future harvest, of seeking men and
women that He will add to our fellowship.
The second phase focuses on raising the funds
necessary to pay off the old debt (from the last campaign) and
restore the old sanctuary. The money needed to do this is something
God can do through you. As each of us prays about what we will give
sacrificially to the project, God will demonstrate His faithfulness
in supplying our needs.
The third phase looks at how paying off our debt and
restoring the old sanctuary will be used to reach people for
Christ. Paying off our debt will free us up financially for future
opportunities that God will send our way. Restoring the old
sanctuary complex, including the chapel, will give us added space
for our growing ministries such as the student and Hispanic
ministries of our church. It will also provide us with a chapel
that can be used during the week for such things as small weddings,
funerals, and conferences.
In conclusion,
the investment we make in our stewardship campaign will affect
generations to come. God will be able to use these efforts to touch
lives long after we leave this earth. What an investment! Let us be
faithful in this effort.
