THOMAS EARL
WILLIAMS, U.S.M.C. (RET.)
Thomas Earl Williams, U. S. Marine Corps, (Ret.),
95, of Beaufort, South Carolina, formerly of
Pensacola, Fla. , died Friday evening, March 7,
2008, at River Oaks Residential Care.
Born in Hartsfield, Georgia, he was a son of the
late Emitt Edgar Williams and the late Annie Belle
Bryant Williams.
Mr.
Williams was a member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church
in Pensacola, Florida, and was a farmer.
He
retired after 22 years of service as a Chief Warrant
Officer 2 in the United States Marine Corps, where
he served during World War II and the Korean
Conflict.
He was a 62
year member of Duncan Lodge #234 A. &F.M. in
Nashville, Georgia.
Mr. and
Mrs. Williams have lived in Beaufort for the past
two years. He was devoted to his family and his
country.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Inez Craft
Williams of Beaufort, South Carolina; one son, James
M. Williams and his wife Martha of Beaufort, South
Carolina; one grandson; two granddaughters, and
three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 o'clock Wednesday
afternoon, March 12, 2008, in the chapel of Oak Lawn
Funeral Home in Pensacola, Florida.
Interment will be in Barrancas National Cemetery in
Pensacola with full military honors.
