On Thursday,
April 15, 2010, surrounded by family, Thomas F. Thomsen, Sr. left his
earthly home to reside in his Heavenly mansion.
Thomas was
born on October 30, 1927 in Brewton, Alabama, and resided most of his
life in Pensacola, Florida.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 63 years, Gleaner; his
five children: Tom (Linda), Tony (Lillie), Tim (Connie), Michele
(Kevin), and Melissa (Paul).
He is also
survived by his sister Mary Jane Thomsen, 11 grandchildren and ten
great-grandchildren.
Thomas was a dedicated member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, a church
deacon; and for many years kept church records for the Senior Adult
class.
Thomas
always enjoyed family, vacations with his family, and simply his family
getting together.
Thomas loved
his wife and family dearly and always offered calm support, great
strength, and courage. His gentle and loving spirit was always evident
to his family and anyone who met him.
Thomas was a
loving husband who always provided care and support to his wife; a great
Daddy, always generous, unselfish, and concerned. He always had a
special place in his chair for his grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, who loved to snuggle up to him.
Visitation will be at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church on Monday, April 19
from 6 to 8 p.m.
Services
