Bruce Lynn Tanner of The Woodlands, TX, born on September 5, 1931 passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at his home.

Bruce retired from Pensacola Naval Air Station after forty years of civil service. When Bruce retired, N.A.S. named two different Forestry Management Areas after him to honor his service, one on N.A.S. and one within Blue Angel Park.

Bruce was a member and deacon of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Pensacola, FL for 38 years and most recently a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in The Woodlands, TX.

Bruce is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Bobbie; along with three daughters and eight grandchildren. Larisse (Fred) Mullens, of Marble Falls, AR; Cindy (Jeff) Griffin of Roswell, GA; and Dana (TJ) Flynn of The Woodlands, TX. Grandchildren are Stephanie, Jason, and Melanie Mullens; Britney, Emily, and Shelby Griffin; and Tanner and Gracie Flynn.

Bruce has three surviving brothers, Olen, Calvin and Gene.

Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wed., Sept. 12, at Pensacola Memorial Gardens in Pensacola, FL, followed by the funeral at 11:30 a.m. with Dr. Alton Butler officiating.
Entombment will be at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
