Vera was born June 29, 1920 and was a devote member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.

Lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, James "Steve" Stevens; son and daughter-in-law James Claude and Jackie Stevens of Orlando; son Donald E. Stevens of Gulf Breeze; sister Eliza Shelton; brother Marion "Jack" Ard, both of Pensacola; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today, Friday, March 26, 2004 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Lentine officiating. Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to Myrtle Grove Baptist Church Building Fund or Gideons International, P. O. Box 3669, Pensacola, FL 32516-3669.
