Cdr. William (Bill) Steele, Jr. USN (Ret.) went home to be with the Lord Thursday June 19th at 9:45 pm after a hard fought battle.

Bill served his country as a Naval Aviator for 26 1/2 years and retired in 1985.

Bill Served his Lord with all his heart, soul, mind and strength until he left this earth to join Jesus in eternity.

He is survived by his bride of 48 years Toni, two sons, Bill 3 and Scott, two daughters-in-law, Patricia and Kelly. Three grandchildren Aaron, Daniella and Bethany and one Granddog Buster.

Bill loved his family and his church Myrtle Grove Baptist. He had a love for his Lord Jesus that was unparalleled.

His living wish was that everyone who knew him could see the love of Christ in his life and actions.

There will be a memorial service for Bill at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church on Lillian Hwy. Sunday at 3:00 pm in the main sanctuary.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm.

Pastor Ron Lentine and Pastor Dick Hammel will conduct the services.
