Mary Hettie Burke Smith, 100, formerly of Pensacola passed away Thursday, November 1, 2007.

Mrs. Smith, a native of Bruce, FL, lived in Pensacola many years before moving to Elberta, AL.

She was a member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church for 75 years.

Mrs. Smith was also a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy and the Red Hats Society.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Calvin Eugene Smith, and son, Calvin Jr.

Survivors include four daughters, Terrie Driver, Tally Burkhead, Grace Duell and Merle Hilscher; ten grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Dadie Anderson and Dannie Caudill.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 3, 2007 at PENSACOLA MEMORIAL GARDENS.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to services.

Burial will be in Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the UDC Scholarship Fund, Community Hospice of Baldwin County, AL or to Myrtle Grove Baptist Church
