Robert H. (Bob) Rusche, age 90 of Pensacola, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010.

He worked 20 years for the Atomic Energy Commission; retired from NAVCOMTSSA Saufley Field Federal Civil Service.

He was member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church; Myrtle Grove Baptist Church Keenagers; Masonic Lodge 51 of Aurora, Indiana; American Legion of Aurora, Indiana; Forty and Eight of Indiana; Elks Lodge 2108; Pinseekers Golf Association.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vera Rusche, and his daughter, Mary Ann Merkel.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bettye Rusche; daughters, Lydia Olson (Ralph) of Springfield, VA and Bonnie Jones (Chip) of Pensacola, FL; sons, Shawn Mills (Kay) of Riverview, FL; granddaughters, Cathy Roddy (Michael), Caroline Merkel and Kristen Andrews (Jeffrey); grandsons, Matthew Merkel (Ilene), W02 Craig Jones; Chris Jones (Shannon), John Olson and Rob Olson; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chris Jones (grandson), John Olson (grandson), Matthew Merkel (grandson), Michael Roddy, Ronnie Faggioni and Louis Baker.

Honorary pallbearers will be W02 Craig Jones (grandson), Rob Olson (grandson), Jeffery Andrews, Ben Hosea, Ray Ivey, Eugene Smith, Bill Williams, Neil Thorsen and Tom Cotton.

Memorials may be made to Myrtle Grove Baptist Church Building Fund or a charity of your choice.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with Reverend Al Butler, Reverend Ron Pouliout and Reverend Ron Lentine officiating.

Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
