Pearl Nena (Cato) Price, 75, died Friday, August 10, 2007.

Pearl was born July 24, 1932 to her parents, William Allen Cato and Angeline Allen Cato in Foley, AL the youngest of 11 children.


She moved to Myrtle Grove, FL with her family when she was 6 years old. She attended Little Flower School in Myrtle Grove and later received her GED. She married Terriell C. Price, Sr. on June 25, 1949 in Laurel, MS.


She was preceded in death by her husband and 10 siblings, Tom Cato, Sam Cato, William Cato, Raymond Cato, Leo Cato, John (Jack) Cato, Charles Cato, Ruby (Cato) Phillips, Jewel (Cato) Coates and Ruth Cato.


She is survived by her children, Terriell C. Price Jr. of Pensacola, Tabitha (Jim) Knope of Coulterville, IL, Angela (Randy) Deerwester of Mansfield, IL, Daniel (Mary Beth) Price of Gulf Breeze, FL; grandchildren, Jamie Knope, Christopher Price, Jonathan Price, Nathan Price, Clifton E. King, Nichole (King) Boles; great-grandchildren, Morgan Boles, Sophia Price, Abegail Price, Clifton E. King II and Emma Boles .


Pearl was a wife and mother as well as a school bus driver, GNC Manager, School Volunteer, teacher's aide and certified nurse's assistant.


As an active and beloved member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church for many years, she was a member of the adult choir, visitation teams and volunteer transportation coordinator.

She volunteered her help in the pre-school program as a teacher's aide. She helped serve meals from the church after Hurricane Ivan.

 She was always eager to welcome new comers in the church and make herself available to meet needs in the community.


Pearl was a loving mother, friend and Christian woman by all who knew her.


Visitation will be from 6-8pm Monday, August 13, 2007 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.


Funeral service will take place at 9am Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pearl's memory to the Myrtle Grove Baptist Church Building Fund or to Covenant Hospice of Northwest Florida.


OAK LAWN FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
