Ellen Prentice, 84, a life long resident of Pensacola, FL, passed away Friday, March 16, 2007.

Ellen graduated from Pensacola High School in 1941, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lillian, and an honorary member of the Silver Eagles.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Preston Jack Prentice, daughter Susan McGill, and infant daughter Catherine Ann Prentice. She is also preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Maggie Eubanks, sister Gardys Rucker, and brother Jessie Eubanks.

Ellen is survived by her daughter Jane Bennett and special son-in-law Anthony Bennett; sisters Mazie Bell and Alpha Eggart; 4 Grandchildren: Michael (Dawn) Bennett, Susan (Tony) Louis, John McGill, and Kevin (Leslie) McGill; 3 Great-Grandchildren: Brittany Bennett, Devin McGill, and Sammie Louis.

Family will receive friends for visitation at Oak Lawn Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 from 5-7 PM.

Funeral service will be at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, which is the site of her childhood, on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 11:00 AM and burial to follow in Myrtle Grove Cemetery.

After the burial, there will be a reception at the church. Reverend Ron Lentine and Dr. Alton Butler will be officiating the service.

Active Pallbearers will be Tony Louis, Michael Bennett, Ronnie Roberts, Hank, Steve and David Eggart.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Silver Eagles.
