Charles W. Nelson,
III, 24, of Pensacola, passed away tragically near Houma, Louisiana on
Sunday,
January 4, 2009.
Born on June 22, 1984 in Opelika, Alabama, Charlie grew up in Pensacola
and attended Jim Bailey
Middle School.
He was a 2002
graduate of Escambia High School where in the 9th grade was named
student of the year.
Charlie was
employed as an offshore electrician by MMR
He was a member of Myrtle Grove
Baptist Church.
Preceded in death was his grandfather, James Curtis Sullivan.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Charles and Karen Nelson,
Jr.; his son, Charles Landen
Nelson; sister, Melissa Nelson and her daughter, Julianna; brother,
Brian Nelson; grandmothers,
Mary Alice Scrip and Mary Olga Sullivan; grandfather, Charles W. Nelson,
Sr.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January
9, 2009 at Pensacola
Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2009
at the funeral home with
Reverend Ron Lentine officiating.
Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
