Clarice, a lifelong resident of Pleasant Grove, was an expert at catching whiting and ground mullet from the shore at Johnson's beach. For many years she kept the family and friends supplied with all the fish they could eat. The smell of fish frying on the stove could be found at all hours, day or night, at the Morton home. She loved to travel and shop, especially for clothes, with her sisters, and her daughter, Rhonda. She had a green thumb and enjoyed raising all kinds of flowers and plants. Her hobbies and interests spanned from crochet to scuba diving. But her greatest passion was her love for her Lord Jesus, a legacy she passed on to her family. Clarice was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for over seventy years. Clarice was preceded in death by her parents: Leon and Bertha Andrews; her husband, Ronald; her brother, Edward Andrews; sisters, Lucille Archer, Alice Price, and Eileen Smith. Survivors include: her daughter, Rhonda Pouliot (Ron); her son, Ronald Morton (Janie); grandchildren, Brian Pouliot, Jonathan Pouliot, Heather Morton, and Ronald Morton; great-grandchildren, Faith Pouliot, and Matt Pouliot; and many loving and devoted nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 6, 2012 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 9:30 A.M. prior to the service.
