Jan Johan Koomen, 83, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2008.

Mr. Koomen had been an avid soccer coach in Pensacola for many years.

He was retired from Westinghouse.

Jan was a man of faith, and loved his Lord and family. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Dee; children, Roland (Ann) Koomen, Loraine (Dale) Piirainen, Linda (Ralph) Atwell, Janie (Tom) Christensen, and Johnny (Nan) Koomen; one brother, Piet; two sisters, Nelly and Katrien; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. on Friday, January 18, 2008 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Lentine officiating.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
