Jefferson F. (Jeff) Howard, Sr., 80 of Pensacola, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2008 in Biloxi.

He was born in Pensacola on December 31, 1927.

Jeff was a member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church were he served as Deacon.

He was a veteran of the Korea conflict in which he received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Jeff was preceded in death by his Parents Jonathan F. and Dicy Shelby Howard.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen (Kathy) P. Howard; Three sons; Jefferson Frank Howard II and wife Linda, Jonathan P. Howard and wife, Christen and Joel C. Howard; one daughter; Angela VickiBock; one sister; Oletha Randolph; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 2, 2008 from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m. at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.

 Reverend Ron Lentine and Reverend Al Butler will be officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be sons and nephews; Jefferson F. Howard II, Jonathan P. Howard, Joel C. Howard, Robert E Godwin, Gary W. Peaden and Sherman W. Randolph.

In lieu of flowers donations my be made to Myrtle Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 5920 Lillian Highway, Pensacola, Florida 32506.
