Horne, 97, died February 14, 2005 at a local nursing home.
Mrs. Horne was a native of Headland, AL but had spent most of her adult
life in Myrtle Grove. She was a
long time member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church and a retired employee
of the Escambia County School lunchroom program.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Horne and daughter,
Juanita Martin.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Edith Horne; four
granddaughters and their husbands, Debbie and Andy Waters, Carolyn and
Fred Parsons, Suzanne and Scott Overton, and Nancy and Jerry Stanley;
seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren;
son-in-law, Claude Martin and his wife,
Margie.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2005 at
Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with the Reverend Ron Lentine
officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until
time of service.
Active pallbearers are great grandchildren, Matthew and Gregory Stanley,
Alison and Frank Distel, Keith and Valarie Parsons, Dillon Overton and
Shaun Phelps.
Honorary pallbearers will be W.C. Scott, Gene Milsted, Louis Cosson,
Harold Cosson, Lawrence Comerford and the Sarah Benton Sunday School
Class.
PENSACOLA MEMORIAL GARDENS FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
Special thanks to all the ladies in Bldg H and employees at Homestead
Village, and Hettie Smith for her love and friendship.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Covenant
Hospice or Myrtle Grove Baptist Church
Building Fund.
