Grace Lee Hawke, age 88, a resident of Pensacola, FL for over 50 years, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2007.

 Grace was born in Alabama and moved to Pensacola in the 1950's.

She was an active member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, where she worked in the nursery and taught Sunday school for over 30 years.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Hawke; her parents, Porter Hawthorne Vickrey and Grace Lee Bradley Vickrey; and her two sisters, Elizabeth Lloyd and Ruth Thorne.

Grace is survived by her daughter, Jean (husband Tom) Floyd of Houston, TX; her brother, Edward (wife Liz) Vickrey of Coleman, AL; Grandchildren Barbara Nicholson and Tom (wife Jill) Floyd, Jr.; Great-Grandchildren, Elizabeth Villasana, Austin Nicholson, Trae Floyd, and Carter Floyd; also her guardian angel Beth Little, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 23, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Monday, September 24, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery.
