George "Frank" Griffin, age 67, of Pensacola, FL, passed away November 2, 2008 at his home.

 He was born in Mobile, AL and moved here 12 years ago from Defuniak Springs.

 After retiring from the United States Army, he ran his own business making "Frank's Yard Swings".

Frank was an active member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.

He was predeceded in death by his mother and father B.F. and Lillie Bell Griffin, brothers Ernest, Julius, and Bobbie, and sisters Lether, Becky and Grayce.

Frank is survived by his wife, Louverne Griffin; sons Denis Griffin of Fayetteville, NC, and
Mike Williams of TN; daughters Anita Blackmon of Pensacola, FL, and Kathrine Chisolm of
Tallahassee, FL; sisters Betty of Pensacola, FL, Marie of Albany, NY, and Lavern of Clearwater,
FL; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 4, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home,
Reverend Ron Lentine and Dr. Alton Butler officaiting, with burial to follow in Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors.
