| Stephen Leslie Flores, age 71, of Pensacola, died
Thursday, March 6, 2003 in a local hospital. Stephen was a native
and lifelong resident of Escambia County, retired from the National Guard,
a life member of VFW Post 706 and Post 23. He was a member, Past Commander
and Past Quartermaster of VFW Post 10303.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Clair Flores, of Pensacola;
two sons, James Flores, of Destin and Tommie Brown, of Pensacola; two
daughters, Reba Hammontree, of Pensacola and Sarah Flores, of Pensacola;
two sisters, Rose Harrison, of Pensacola and Frances Brown, of California;
and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 11,
2003 from McNeil Keyes Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Lentine, Pastor of the
Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by Chaplin Jim Riley of
VFW Post 23.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery with McNeil Keyes directing
and with military honors provided by the VFW.
The family will receive friends at McNeil Keyes Funeral Home from 6
until 8 PM Monday, March 10, 2003.
