Iris Lynell Davis Dykes, age 87, passed away on March 7, 2006. Mrs. Dykes was born May 19, 1918 in Coolidge, GA, the daughter of the late Aaron Vernon and Lola Davis. She was raised in Tallahassee, FL along with 10 brothers and sisters. She and her husband relocated to Pensacola, FL in 1946 where she raised her family. She was a long time member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church and a Pensacola resident for 58 years before recently relocating to Milton, FL.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, William Ancel of Pensacola, FL; two sons, Clifford (Deborah) of Landenburg, PA and Michael (Linda) of Milton, FL; two sisters, Nita Bassett of Tallahassee and Bobby Mallett of Douglasville, GA; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2006 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens on Pine Forest Road with Dr. Alton Butler officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening, March 9, 2006 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
