Bertha G. DePrato, 82, a life long
resident of Pensacola, went to walk
with her Lord on Monday, March 26,
2007.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1924 to
Boone and Carrie Goldsby of Myrtle
Grove.
Bertha retired from Armstrong World
Industries after 32 years of service
in the Payroll department.
She
was also a lifelong member of Myrtle
Grove Baptist Church, where she was
very active in various church
activities for many years. Bertha
also loved sewing, crocheting and
all types of needlework.
She will be greatly missed by her
family and friends.
Bertha is survived by daughter,
Elaine (Ron) Carroll of Montgomery,
TX; son, John (Sharon) of Stafford,
VA; grandsons, Kevin Carroll and
John DePrato II; granddaughters,
Marsha Lee and Cindy Fontno;
great-grandchildren, Carson, Isabel
and Keira; brothers, Harold Goldsby
and Marvin (Donna) Goldsby; sisters,
Betty (W.C.) Scott, Bobbi (Jeris)
Faircloth, Nancy (Lloyd) Blackmon,
Rita (Jim) Eldridge of Okeechobee,
FL, and Ernestine Petersen of
Russford, OH; sister-in-law, Emma
Goldsby of Pensacola,; and many
nieces and nephews.
She
is preceded in death by her parents
and twin sister, Bertie, sister Inez
and brothers, Ken and Charlie.
The family will receive friends for
visitation from 10:30-11:30 am
Saturday, March 31st at OAK LAWN
FUNERAL HOME.
Funeral service will follow at
11:30am with the Dr. Al Butler
officiating.
Asked to serve as pallbearers are
nephews, Kelly Blackmon, Jack
Faircloth, Terry Goldsby, Kenny
Goldsby Phillip Emond, Brian Emond,
Scott Murphy, Wes Murphy and Ross
Fielder.
Interment
will follow at Myrtle Grove
Cemetery. |
