Jannie Crisson "Ma
Jannie", age 67, of Pensacola was called home to be with Jesus on
Wednesday, January 18, 2006. Jannie was born March 26, 1938 in Six Mile,
SC and moved to Pensacola in 1956. She was bookkeeper and office manager
at Reliable Janitorial Services for over 20 years. She served Myrtle
Gove Baptist Church as Nursery Coordinator for over 30 years, which
displayed her immense love for children. Jannie will be deeply missed by
all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Winford Jay Merck and a son,
Henry Winford Crisson.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Copeland E. "Criss" Crisson,
Sr., of Pensacola; two daughters, Sharon M. Crisson of Alameda, CA and
Mary D. Crisson of Pensacola; one son, David M. Crisson of Pensacola,
her mother, Ruby L. Merck; two sisters, Fae M. Kelly and Marie M. Crane;
one brother, Charles M. Merck, all of Six Mile, SC; two step-daughters,
Susan A. Diamond of Jay, FL and Flora Lea Cofield of Flomaton, AL; one
step-son, Copeland E. "Copie" Crisson, Jr. of Lewisville, TX; 10
grandchildren, Deedra Lea Richerson of Foley, AL, Duane Diamond of
Olathe, KS, April D. Hite of Irving, TX, Dustin M. Diamond, Drew M.
Diamond, both of Jay, FL, Copeland E. "Trey" Crisson, III, Oliver J. "OJ"
Crisson, both of Lewisville, TX, Dillon W. Diamond of Jay, FL, Lauryn M.
Crisson and Evan M. Crisson, both of Pensacola; and one
great-grandchild, Abby Lea Richerson of Foley, AL.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caring and
loving staff of Emerald Coast Hospice and Baptist Health Care and a
special thanks to her close friends, Ruth Farish and Doris Fryer.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emerald
Coast Hospice.
Services will be held at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, Saturday, January
21, 2006. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. with services
following.
Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
