Joan Collins, age 68, of
Pensacola, passed away on
Tuesday, April 13, 2004. Mrs.
Collins was a long time resident
of Pensacola and a native of
Sanford, MS. She was preceded in
death by her father, Howard
Shows.
Mrs. Collins is survived by her
mother, Gladys Shows; husband,
Gruby Eugene Collins; son, Mark
Aaron Collins (Cherie); two
daughters, Lori Miller (Mark)
and Jodi Suzanne Waller (Tommy);
five grandchildren, Jeffrey and
Chase Miller, Paige Collins,
Ashton and Alexis Waller, all of
Pensacola; a sister, Mary Joyce
DeLozier of Birmingham, AL and
several cousins, nieces and
nephews.
Joan was a long time business
woman in Pensacola. She was
owner and President of Joan
Collins Realty and served the
real estate needs of the
community for 35 years. She was
a member of the Pensacola
Association of Realtors, the
National Association of Realtors
and the Florida Association of
Realtors. She served on the
Ethics Committee for the
Pensacola Association for a
number of years. She was a
member of Myrtle Grove Baptist
Church for more than 40 years.
The family wishes to express
their heartfelt gratitude to the
staff of Sacred Heart Hospital,
Dr. John Wagner and Dr. Steven
Claus for their love and caring
support throughout her lengthy
illness.
A memorial service will be held
at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April
17, 2004 at Faith Chapel Funeral
Home South. The family will
receive friends at Faith Chapel
from 1:00 p.m. until service
time on Saturday.
