Barney J. Chisolm, age 87 of
Pensacola, Florida, died on Tuesday,
March 27, 2007.
He was born on June 27th, 1919 in
Mississippi, but was a long-time
resident of Pensacola and a member
of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.
He was a World War II Navy veteran,
a farmer, a teacher at PHS, a
chemist who pioneered the Oil
Analysis Program at NARF, and an
avid gardener who loved his roses
and his corn.
He
was a loving husband, father,
grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife
of 62 years, Alice. His children
are: Linda Sue Chisolm-Wright and
her husband, John; Patty Kell and
her husband, Lee; Barney J. Jr.
(Jack) and his wife, Kathi; Kathy
Landrum and her husband, Wayne; and
Donna Nobles and her husband, Thad.
His surviving grandchildren are:
Kelley Rayder, Heather Ames and
husband Caanan, Alexa Chisolm Paugh,
Amy Kell, Elizabeth Chisolm Bradley,
Meghan Chisolm, Jason Kell, and Reef
Landrum. His great grandson is Cole
Ames.
He
is also survived by a sister, Janie
Lou Langham and sisters-in-law Kate
Gordon, Charlene Wilson and her
husband, Warren, Margie Welch,
Clairee Chisolm, brothers-in-law,
Lavon Welch and his wife, Brenda,
and Rupert Sharp as well as many
loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on
Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 3:00
p.m. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at
the funeral home on Saturday, March
31, 2007 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at Pensacola
Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Chisolm's
family asks that donations be made
to the National Kidney Foundation of
Florida, 1040 Woodcook Road, Suite
119, Orlando, FL 32803.
