Mary Louise
(Brown) Caro, age 85, passed away Sunday, November
18, 2007.
Mary was a native and lifelong resident of
Pensacola. She was raised in the Methodist Church
and later joined her husband as a member of Myrtle
Grove Baptist Church.
Before
and during her marriage she worked in Pensacola for
several different employers including Harold's
Drugs, Gulf Power, Mutual Federal Savings and Loan,
Escambia General Hospital, Moulton's Drugs and
Pensacola Greyhound Park.
Mary served
in the Myrtle Grove Elementary PTA. She also helped
her elder son while he was a member of the Order of
DeMolay.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 57
years, W.L. "Buddy" Caro; her parents, Loam and Mary
Belle Windham Brown; sister, Martha Jones; brother,
Bill Brown (wife Helen); sisters-in-law, Hellen Caro,
Mina Martin (husband Petey) and Wilma Goss (husband
Horace); and brothers-in-law, B.F. Caro (wife Elsie)
and Calvin Caro (wife Eleanor).
She is survived by her sons, Mike Caro (wife Wanda
McDonald Caro) and Mark Caro (wife Betty Campbell
Caro); step-granddaughters, Michelle Damio, Donna
Lewis, Stacey Olschewske (husband Roger); grandson,
Michael Bryan Caro (wife Shone Johnson Caro) and
their children, Kathryn, Courtney and Bryson;
brother-in-law, Marion Jones; close friend, Vernon
Cole; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November
24, 2007 at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home
with Dr. Alton Butler officiating and Pastor Josh
Pope assisting.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the
services.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Caro, Glenn Caro, Jon
Jones, Keith Clark, Shorty Forcier and Steve Lockman.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be
made to the Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, Covenant
Hospice or the charity of your choice.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to
Doctors Steve Willis and Mark Scott for their care
and understanding with Mary over the years and to
the many other doctors who provided her with care
and comfort.
Also the
family thanks the employees of Buildings "A" and "K"
and the Administrative staff at Homestead Village.
PENSACOLA MEMORIAL GARDENS FUNERAL HOME is in charge
of arrangements.
