| Edith Boyd, 81, of
Pensacola, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2005. She grew up in the Dothan, AL area and has lived in Pensacola since 1957. She worked for Chemstrand for approximately 8 years and was a long-time member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church. Her hobbies included baking and gardening and loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. She married Russell Boyd Sr. in 1943 and he preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by 3 sons, Russell (Sara) Boyd, Jr., LaDon (Bonnie) Boyd, Ray (Tammy) Boyd; grandchildren, Erinn Boyd, Brian Boyd, Heather Boyd-Payne, Scott Boyd, Brandon Boyd; 4 sisters, Gladys Hinson, Alice Jones, Evelyn Miller, Mary Parrish; and 1 brother Ewell Harper. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2005 at Faith Chapel South with Pastor Ron Lentine officiating. Active pallbearers will be Scott Boyd, Brandon Boyd, Steve Boyd, Dale Boyd and Andrew Boyd . Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, at the funeral home. Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 100 Beverly Parkway, is in charge of arrangements. |
