Gladys "Lucy" Bowling, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2008.

Mrs. Bowling was a long time resident of Pensacola and was retired from Federal Civil Service, NAS Pensacola, FL.

She was a member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, Pensacola, FL.

Lucy was a very kind, caring and talented person that loved her family very much.

 To know her was to truly love her.

Lucy was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 59 years, Vaughn Bowling.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Elton and Sheila Bowling and the love of her life, her grandson, Casey Bowling.

 She also left behind a very devoted and loving friend, Pearl Johnson who partnered with her as Casey's Grandmother.

 Together they have both done an amazing job as the perfect Grandma's as well as mothers.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Reverend Ron Lentine officiating.

BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHAPEL, 3351 Scenic Highway, is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
