There Is a Cross in your Body
Can you fathom how BIG our God is...? In Genesis 1:1, He spoke the universe into
existence. Then again, in Genesis 1:27, it says, “So God created mankind in His own
image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” Just
like any creator of something new – they know their creation. Well, God created us and
He knows us. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Psalm 139 explains this in
far better detail than I could ever do. God can and does perceive our thoughts from afar
Psalm 139:2. He even understands the motive behind our every thought! Sometimes
we ourselves do not know why we might have a certain thought, but God knows why.
Our God is familiar with all our ways. We cannot surprise Him in any way because He is
so well-acquainted with the ways we do things. After all, He created us.
I have learned so much more about God's handiwork as I read and write each month.
So, knowing that this amazing information can be salvaged from anywhere, it makes me
wonder, 'How can ANYONE deny that a God; our Creator did all of this?
The God who created all this, also has the power to hold the world and its inhabitants all
together even when things seem to be falling apart. It’s amazing that our God also
sustains everything.
Okay, now laminins are a family of proteins that hold us together...LITERALLY. They are
cell bonder molecules. They are what holds one cell of our bodies to the next cell.
Without them, we would exactly fall apart. I’ve heard about a God-shaped void in all of
us...I did not know what it looked like or even if this is what God was talking about.
There is a song by a Christian artist named Plumb that says, “There's a god-shaped hole
in all of us/And the restless soul is searching/There's a god-shaped hole in all of us/
And it's a void only He can fill.” That is so true.
