What does the
contemporary worship service look like and sound like?
It looks a lot like "us" with differences
Our worship experience very similar to
what our sister Southern Baptist churches have established with
their contemporary services. The following is a list of things that
you could expect to see.

1. There will not be a
choir as we have in our blended worship. Rather than a choir, there
will be a praise band along with a praise team (3-4 vocalists and a
lead vocalist/worship leader) leading in modern praise
choruses/songs.

2. There are not as
many of the old hymns that we sing in our current blended worship,
but rather more of the more contemporary praise choruses/songs that
we use in our current blended worship.

3. The sound may be a
bit louder because of the praise band, but you can expect a
worshipful experience nonetheless. There will be much more
standing/singing than there is in our current worship service.

4. The preaching is
the same in both blended and contemporary worship services. Our
Pastor, Ron Lentine, preaches both times and the message
will be the same for both services.

5. This contemporary
worship is not to be confused with our monthly student-led worship
on Sunday evening. Some students (high school age) will be involved
in the praise band and from time to time the praise team, but the
majority of those leading worship will be young adults (primarily
adults in their 20's through mid 40's). We seek to provide a
quality worship experience for those who attend, definitely directed
at reaching a younger generation (millennia's, busters, generation
x) for the Lord Jesus Christ.
