May 15, 2009 UPCOMING EVENTS AND INFORMATION CONCERNING OUR MILLENNIAL OUTREACH
This insert will be provided for you, our members, to write down questions that you may have about our millennial outreach (contemporary worship) schedule. Our steering committee invites you to write out your questions on the insert provided and turn them in the following Wednesday or Sunday or during the week at the church office. These questions will help our steering committee to better prepare as they continue their work. We will take all this information (your questions) and prepare a handout with answers that will be used in upcoming church-wide Q/A (question/answer) sessions. These sessions will be held in the months of June and July. It is our desire that all of our members clearly understand the direction that God is leading us in this special outreach effort. (More information will be given next Sunday.)
II. A very important event that will be taking place concerning our millennial outreach will be another spiritual journey of prayer and fasting. God has certainly blessed us in our last church-wide prayer event and we will be seeking his grace once again as we prepare for this millennial outreach.
III. Lastly, in the month of June, we will also be passing out another survey. This one will be focusing on our generational connection (seeking to connect senior adults with younger adults in a mentoring relationship).
IV. The final presentation
of our steering committee to the church should take place sometime
at the end of July or first of August. But, if we see that we need
to extend this time period, we will do so. We are trusting the Lord
for His perfect timing.
