Newsletter #1 - Jan 29, 2001

Dear Church Family,

These are exciting days at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.  The "Building for the Future" financial campaign presents a great challenge for God's people here at Myrtle Grove.  I am confident that God will never lead us anywhere that He will not also provide the need.

I would like to ask every one of you to make your financial pledge a matter of serious prayer.  Ask God to show you what your part needs to be, then be obedient to fulfill whatever the will of the Lord is for you.  I believe that together we will see victory in reaching our vision goal.

Your Pastor,

Brother Ron Lentine

Our Pledge Campaign is underway.  God has blessed us in so many ways in the past that we can hardly wait to see what He will do next.  Our Steering Committee along with the Spiritual Emphasis Committee (Team Leaders from Bible classes) are in the process of contacting every household connected to Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.  We are making home prayer visits.  These prayer visits are encouraging our folks to pray about their own spiritual commitment in this campaign.  We are confident that every household will welcome our people and be prayerfully considering the part they will play in the total process.  Our prayer visitation will conclude February 4th.

We are counting on the Holy Spirit and the power of prayer to lead us in this campaign.  Continue to pray for all our leaders and for every member of our church.  Together, with God's help, we will reach our goal for His glory.

Robert Smith, Steering Committee Chairman
