Preschool Choir. For 4 and 5 year olds. Meets on Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM in room 101 of the education building. This choir provides spiritually based music and child development through music and activities. Contact: Shannon Perry or Dick Hamel
Children’s Choir. First through sixth graders meet on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7, during Prayer meeting. This choir is designed to help children develop musically, understand the importance of worship and to learn to appreciate music in God’s Kingdom. They meet in room 103, downstairs in the Education Building. Contact Dick Hamel 455-7389. Student Music and Drama. For grades 7 through 12, this is an opportunity of Music Ministry and is done through the Student Ministry. The Student Praise Team and Drama Team meets on Sunday afternoon at 4:30 in the basement of the old Sanctuary. This ministry combines Praise music, Vocals and Drama with a relevant message that is geared to lead today’s students to Christ. Worship choir. The Worship Choir has the unique privilege of leading the congregation to Praise and Worship. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings in the choir room from 7 to 8:30 PM. Golden Echoes. Golden Echoes is a choir for those 55 and older and meets on Thursday morning at 9 AM in the choir room. This choir leads in worship services and is involved in ministering through music in nursing homes. Golden Echoes is a great time of music fellowship and ministry. A wide variety of ensembles from gospel to contemporary are presently meeting. They serve to augment the Worship services and special events. Handbells. This group meets for special events and seasonal presentations. They rehearse in room 207 in the Education Building as they are needed. The Handbell Choir primarily performs in the fall and spring. Contact Dick Hamel at 455-7389 or email dhamel @myrtlegrovebaptist.org.
Orchestra. Our instrumental group is open to middle school through senior adults who want to use their talent to enhance the worship services. They play for the morning Worship service, for special events and seasonal programs. They meet at 10 AM on Sunday morning in the Worship Center. Music is prepared for pick-up by 6 PM on Wednesday evening. Contact Patty Lutrick or Kim Odom.
Drama Ministry. This team exists to bring glory and honor to Jesus Christ thorough Drama. The Drama Ministry participates in Worship services, special events and seasonal programs. Rehearsals and performances are scheduled as needed. This ministry includes a need for Costume support. (see below). Contact Dick Hamel at 455-7389.

Costume Ministry. The purpose of this committee is to enhance and provide realism for the worship experiences by designing, cutting and sewing life-like costumes for the Biblical characters of our musical and drama productions, children’s church and Vacation Bible School. This is a ministry that anyone with artistic or creative talents, both men and women, can be a part of. To learn more about this important ministry contact Jean Davis.
Banner Ministry. “We rejoice in thy salvation and in the name of our God. We will set up our banners.” Ps. 20:5. Our banners proclaim who God is in written and picture form. They are not to be worshipped, but are made for the purpose of bringing into focus the names and descriptions of God and to enhance our worship, praise and honor to God. We need “Idea people”, designers and those who sew. Contact Jean Davis.
