WHAT DOES THE BIBLE
SAY ABOUT MINISTRY?
At Myrtle Grove
Baptist Church, we believe that ministry is using whatever God has given
us to serve Him and the needs of others. We minister in three
directions: to the Lord, to believers and to non-believers. The goal of
our ministry is to help others grow.
“And
He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists,
and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the
work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all
attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the
fullness of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:11-13 (NASB)
We seek to achieve
this goal by fulfilling the five purposes of the church; to communicate
God’s word, care for God’s family, celebrate God’s presence, educate God’s
people, and demonstrate God’s love. |
