Most Excellent
Way.
The
Most Excellent
Way is a loving group of men and women affected directly or indirectly by
various addictions and spiritual setbacks in life. The Most Excellent Way
is a Christian alternative to various dependencies by becoming
God-dependant. Our principles of recovery are based entirely on the word
of God utilizing Scripture to overcome the guilt, frustration,
hopelessness, fear and shame associated with addictive behavior. To learn
more about this program or to enroll,

Most Excellent
Way Friends and Family.
The Most Excellent Way Friends and Family meetings help spouses, parents
and adult children stop trying to control, fix and blame their dependent
loved ones for their own misery. They receive loving support and learn how
others are becoming God-dependent: the process of taking personal
responsibility for their thoughts, attitudes and actions in order to
change their turbulent lifestyles. To learn more about this program or to

Nursing Home
Bible Study Ministry.
Currently Myrtle Grove Baptist Church conducts bible study each Tuesday at
Homestead Village, an Assisted Living facility. These studies, held at 10
AM, were planned for members of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church who are no
longer able to attend regular services. Members from other fellowships
attend, however, and enrollment has grown to 24 residents. Following the
Bible study, the ministers visit with members individually who were unable
to attend.
The blessings
received by the ministers far outweigh the blessings given to the
residents. To assist in this ministry, or to begin a ministry at another
location,

Homebound
Ministry.
The Homebound Ministry is an arm of the Sunday School. Our members
are often folks who have served our church faithfully when they were
physically able. Now we work to assure them that the church has
not forgotten them. Our visitors go at least once a month to carry
literature, discuss the Bible, pray with them and LISTEN. They are
always eager to have someone to talk with. All of our workers
agree that we receive great blessings from this work. Presently we
have eighteen workers - Seventeen ladies and one man. This would
be a great way for a couple to serve together. Come help us show
God’s love to these precious old folks.

Widow’s Mite.
Widow’s Mite is a support
group for widows. We are there for ladies who have experienced the death
of their husband and need understanding and encouragement from those who
have been through the adjustment of living without a spouse. The
fellowship we have through luncheons, volunteering in the Food Pantry, the
Clothing Room, making telephone calls and participating in other
ministries of the church keep us active. We invite all widows to come to
the luncheons and stay busy with us in our projects.
